WARREN TWP. – All the world’s a stage, or so said one of the characters in one of William Shakespeare’s plays, and the Reach students at grades K-5 Woodland School have been learning all about the stage and the world’s most famous bard in a four-week learning cycle.
They have been engaged in activities surrounding one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
The students are looking forward to after the Christmas holiday break to welcoming two actors from Spontaneous Shakespeare of New York City, N.Y., on Tuesday, Jan. 4 and Wednesday, Jan. 5, who will lead the students through workshops.
Then, at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 13, the entire cast of Spontaneous Shakespeare will be at Woodland to perform, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
“I am thrilled by the enthusiasm that the students are showing and even more thrilled that our PTO (parent teacher organization) has sponsored a performance and workshops for the students,” said Stacey Modugno, Reach enrichment specialist.
